U.S. shellfish distributor J. P.’s Shellfish, has announced that Jefferson Oranellas has been appointed president of the company, effective in February.
Oranellas is rejoining the company after a two-year management assignment with another large regional seafood company. Prior to leaving J.P.’s in 2012, Oranellas was the senior sales manager and for five years was directly responsible for leading the positive growth of the business.
In his new role, Oranellas is responsible for managing the company’s day-to-day operations with a focus on continuing the revenue growth and profitability of the company.
Although the company owner, John Price, is stepping back from the daily management of the business, he is looking forward to a broad range of assignments that include the development of unique shellfish sources both nationally and internationally.
