A leading Halal supplier has announced it has gained accreditation for its production from the Halal Monitoring Committee (HMC).

Humza Food Products based in Birmingham, a supplier of Halal frozen products sources all its meat and poultry from HMC approved UK slaughter houses and is producing its Samosas, Spring Rolls and Kebabs in house ensuring full traceability.

Humza currently supplies Tescos, Morrisons and over 500 independent retail stores.

In a statement, the company said: "Although HMC approval has added costs to the procurement and production of its products Humza is confident that this is a small price to pay to ensure its Muslim consumers are guaranteed Halal products with consistently high quality.

"Having gained HMC approval Muslim consumers will feel confident in Humza’s premium products helping increase sales and in turn creating new employment within its UK operations."
