Marine Harvest executives took a bonus this week based on the 2011 share price bonus scheme, while the company announced a new product distributed in Europe and Brazil to coincide with the World Cup.

The company bought 186,207 of its own shares at an average price of NOK 68.17 (USD , EUR ) per share and sold to 46 senior executives who took part in the 2011 allotment under the share price based bonus scheme.

"The participants are being paid a cash bonus corresponding to the positive difference between the base value of the units allotted in 2011 and the closing share price of the Marine Harvest shares on 28 March 2014, being NOK 69 (USD , EUR ) multiplied with the number of units," the company said in a statement.

Also this week, Marine Harvest unveiled "Appeti'Marine," a new series of fish skewers and marinated fish products made for grilling. Starting in mid-April, the company will market the products in French outlets under the label "Les Grillades de la mer."

The products include skewers of salmon, ling or saithe with bell peppers, along with marinated products with barbecue-marinated salmon, lemon-and-thyme marinated saithe skewers and traditional marinated salmon skewers.

In honor of the World Cup in Rio de Janeiro this year, Marine Harvest is also introducing a limited edition "Brazil" line, with spiced fish skewers and fillets with a spicy "Brazil" sauce.
