The Dutch pepper seas pepperon is off to a good start. Supplies of imported peppers are limited and poor quality has led many customers to swap over to Dutch produce, which Arjen Bouma of Gilad Produce knows. He has a new pepper in his assortment: the Black Bullet. This jalapeño pepper is named for its bullet shape and almost black colour. Following long research and testing, the grower from 'Growers Ltd' Den Hoorn, is happy with this new product and ready to introduce it to the fruit and vegetable market.

Milder jalapeño version

Jalapeños have been available on the market for some time and become more popular, but due to their spicy nature, not to everybody's taste, therefore 'Growers Ltd' (Global GAP certified), searched for a milder form and came across this variety. An essential element of the Black Bullet was the flavour. "The fruit is tastier because it is juicier and just as spicy as the red pepper but it is milder than the habanero", declared Bouma.

Growers Ltd expect the Black Bullet to become one of the most important components of all hot and spicy dishes in the future.
