The average strawberry prices on the German wholesale markets in week 20 were a lot lower in 2014 compared to the previous year. This was reported by BLE. The difference was mainly in those from Germany and Holland. The German strawberries cost 3.57 Euro per kilo in week 20 of 2014 and in the same week last year the price was 6.09. The Dutch strawberries cost 3.89 per kilo in week 20, compared to 5.59 per kilo last year. The German supply dominated the wholesale markets that week. The German strawberry prices have been in a downward trend since week 15, with a small revival in week 19.
