Dairy brand The Collective has joined forces with double Olympic Gold Medallist and Tour de France cyclist Geraint Thomas to create a limited edition yoghurt to celebrate a season of cycling.
The new Crème Brûlée variety is The Collective’s take on the classic pudding: a double layer of vanilla egg custard, folded through thick and creamy yoghurt.
Double Olympic Gold Medallist and Welshman Geraint achieved glory on the track at both Beijing 2008 and London 2012 in the Team Pursuit, and has since has turned his full attention to the road.
Geraint said: “As a massive fan of yoghurt and with such a big season ahead, I am hugely excited to be launching my very own Limited Edition flavour with The Collective.
“The Crème Brûlée flavour was a natural choice as a nod to cyclists and fans on both sides of the Channel.
“Welsh cake flavour was a close second, but the Crème Brûlée tastes amazing and it’s just what I need as a reward after a tough training session or race. I hope you all enjoy it as much as I do.”
Like all of The Collective’s range of yoghurts, Crème Brûlée is made in Britain using West Country milk.
Free from any artificial colours, flavours or preservatives, and suitable for vegetarians or those with gluten-free diets, the yoghurt is packed with live cultures and contains five per cent fat.
The Crème Brûlée flavour will be available from 5th May 2014 in Waitrose, Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Ocado, Wholefoods, Booths and Nisa stores nationwide with a RRP of £2.39 for a 500g pot.
