Longyuan Food's vegetable processing plant in eastern China has caught fire on 16 November, leaving 18 people dead and 13 injured.
The fire, which broke out at the facility in the city of Shouguang, Shandong province, was extinguished after two hours, state-run Xinhua news agency reported.
However, the reasons behind the fire accident are unknown and are being investigated.
As reported by the news agency, the company's managers were arrested by local police.
The incident comes as the latest in a series of workplace accidents in China in the recent months.
Earlier in January, a fire accident at a shoe factory in Zhejiang province killed 16 people. In 2013, a poultry processing plant in Jilin province caught fire killing 121 people. This was said to be the deadliest fire since 2000 that occurred in the country.
According to the results of preliminary investigations, there were around 140 people in the building at the time of the accident.
Longyuan Food was founded in 1998 and is an export-oriented firm, with 200 employees and an annual production capacity of 50,000t.
