To protect the Yangcheng Lake origin crab brand, SF Express upgrades its hairy crab logistics service program. All the crabs will be transported from Jiangsu province, the production origin place of Chinese hairy crab, and the Boeing B-767 wide-body freighter fleet will be applied for the first time to join in the exclusive transport fleets, making sure the fresh and live crab to be distributed to nationwide markets in time.
Li Dongqi, the special assistant to the chairman of SF Express’s board of directors, said, “the optimized standard packaging can keep the crab alive for more than 72 hours. Based on the basic delivery of the hairy crab, SF Express upgrades its service, including arranging 7/24 exclusive freight flight, setting up emergency transportation team allocated more than 7, 000 refrigerator vans, and so on. The quantity of vans in operation during the peak period is four times the normal daily operating vans. The new-applied Boeing B-767 wide-body freighter fleet can transport 4 times the commodities the Boeing 737 can each time. SF Express also adds 30% more claims settlement services to achieve claims settled in 48 hours target.
According to the statistics collected by Suzhou Yangcheng Lake Hairy Crab Industry Association, about 13 million packages, nearly 100, 000, 000 hairy crabs, are distributed to millions of families through SF Express between 2011 to 2015.
