The recall of Robin Hood flour in Canada for possible E. coli O121 contamination has ben updated to include more information. There is an outbreak linked to this product in Canada. At least 25 people are sick in four provinces in that outbreak, although the recall notice states that one person has been sickened.

The recalled product is Robin Hood brand All Purpose Flour, Original, in 10 kg packages. The codes on the product are Lot codes containing BB/MA 2018 AL 17 and 6 291 548. Only product with a best before date of April 17, 2018 (2018 AL 17) and the production code 6 291 548 is being recalled. The UPC number of the product is 0 59000 01652 8.

If you purchased this product, do not use it, even if you are going to cook or bake with the flour. Flour is a finely divided solid and can easily spread throughout your kitchen, potentially contaminating surfaces. Throw it away in a sealed container or take it back to the store where you bought it for a full refund.
