Although it is a product that is mainly consumed within the country, as only 30% of the production is exported, given the high demand there is in the country, Chinese producers strive to meet all the standards demanded by Europe with the intention of always being present in that market. "Our products conform not only to China's national ecological food standards, but also to the European Union's food safety and requirements," stated Yuhuan Feilong Pomelo.
This company, founded in 1999, is specialized in the cultivation, processing and marketing of various products, among which the honey pomelo stands out. Each year the company produces an average of 12,000 to 13,000 tons, which are shipped to its production base in Fujian province. This facility has the capacity to process an average of 300 tons of fresh grapefruit produced by themselves and by farmers in the area. The fruit is then sterilized, rinsed, bagged, stored and packaged.
The main headquarters of Yuhuan Feilong Pomelo are located on Yuhuan Island, and it is the only area of honey pomelo. This company owns more than 530 hectares of contracted orchards and 15,000 square meters of production centers in different areas of the country.
