Nautilus Seafood Recalls Siluriformes For No Inspection

J Deluca Fish Company, doing business as Nautilus Seafood, of California, is recalling about 69,590 pounds of Siluriformes fish products that were not presented for inspection at the border. These products were produced at a Vietnamese establishment the is not eligible to export these types of products to the United States.

The frozen Siluriformes, specifically Yellow Walking Fish, were imported from August 2018 to January 2019. The recalled products are:
Varying weights of packages containing 2 pieces of “HEADLESS-CLEANED YELLOW WALKING FISH” “Clarias Macrocepphalus” “CA TRE VANG LAM SACH – CAT DAU” “FARM RAISED”.

Varying weights of packages containing 2 pieces of “WHOLE YELLOW WALKING FISH” “Clarias Macrocepphalus” “CA TRE VANG NGUYEN CON” “FARM RAISED”.

They were shipped to distributors and retail locations nationwide. The issue was discovered on May 22, 2019 during routine FSIS surveillance. There have been no confirmed reports of illness or any adverse reactions to date.

Officials think that some of these Nautilus Seafood fish could be frozen in consumers’ freezers. If you have purchased these products, do not eat them. Throw them away in a secure garbage can, or return them to the place of purchase for a refund.
