India-based distillery Agave Industries India (AII) has rolled out a range of six Desmondji spirits and pre-mixed cocktails in major Indian cities like Mumbai, Pondicherry and Daman.
The range comprises of two white spirits - DesmondJi 100% Agave and DesmondJi 51% Agave, two liqueurs - DesmondJi Blue Curaçao and DesmondJi Orange Liqueur, and two cocktails - DesmondJi Classic Margarita and DesmondJi Blue Margarita. All the spirits are bottled at 37.14% ABV.
Developed by AII managing director Desmond Nazareth, all the DesmondJi spirits are completely India-based including the ingredients used and distillation, bottling and labeling processes, reported Drinks International.
Except 100% Agave, which retails for INR1,700 ($30.65) in Maharashtra, all the other spirits are priced at INR999 ($18) in the state.
The range is soon expected to be rolled out in Bangalore and Pune cities, with plans for launch in other Indian cities in 2013.
