Brown-Forman, the owner of the Woodford Reserve brand, has unveiled a limited edition 2013 Kentucky Derby bourbon bottle to honor the country’s favorite horse race.
Produced by the Woodford Reserve Distillery in Versailles, Kentucky, the 2013 Kentucky Derby 139 bottle features the artwork of painter Eric Bowman of Oregon.
The newly designed bottle contains label featuring blue skies over the historic Twin Spires, two horses with jockeys in colorful silks and in background a silhouette of three horses. The neck of the bottle features a sky blue colored band with artists' signature and a hanging tag with information about the product and the artist.
Woodford Reserve senior brand manager Laura Petry said Bowman's designs shows his patience in crafting the minute details.
"This philosophy made him the perfect selection as the Kentucky Derby 139 bottle artist," Petry added.
2013 Kentucky Derby 139 bottle will be available in 46 markets at suggested retail price of $43.99 per 1l bottle.
Woodford Reserve has been the 'Official Bourbon of the Kentucky Derby' for the last 15 years.
