Franklin Foods Inc. is introducing cream cheese made with Greek yogurt.
With live and active cultures, Green Mountain Farms Greek Cream Cheese contains more protein and less fat than regular cream cheese, according to the company.
“We are seeing a huge rise in popularity for Greek foods, driven by the popularity of the Mediterranean diet and a move toward a balanced, simpler, and more pleasurable way of eating,” said Jon Gutknecht, chief executive officer of Franklin Foods.
The product is available nationwide for a suggested retail price of $2.29 to $3.29.
