Nestlé Nespresso is set to expand its Grand Cru portfolio with the launch of two new coffees - Trieste and Napoli Limited Editions - in spring 2013.
Trieste Limited Edition is a blend of 100% Arabica beans from Brazil and eastern Africa offering notes of chocolate and fresh hazelnuts, a round texture and a fruity touch. This new coffee flavor can be served with or without milk.
The company claims that this new edition has intensity level of 9 which can be served as a ristretto 25ml as well as cappuccino. As a cappuccino it offers roasted coffee notes with a hint of brown caramel and nuts.
Napoli is a blend of Arabica beans from South America, Africa and Asia that offers a hint of Robusta, a syrupy body and has refined, smoky notes of dried black tea leaves. It has an intensity level of 11 which can be served as a ristretto (25ml).
The company claims that these two variants are developed to represent two Italian cities - Trieste and Napoli that are reputed for coffee culture.
Nestlé Nespresso coffee head Karsten Ranitzsch said: "With the Trieste and Napoli Limited Editions, Nespresso got inspired by two of Italy's most emblematic cities and coffee cultures."
