food packagingGlobal adhesives provider HB Fuller has launched two new adhesives - 'SFA8605 Solvent Free Laminating Adhesive' and 'SB7200/XAS2283 Solvent-Based Laminating Adhesive' for food packaging applications.

Designed to safely increase efficiency and reduce working capital, the two new adhesives join the Flextra Fast range of products, according to the company.

H.B. Fuller flexible packaging North American sales manager Brian Glasbrenner said the company's Flextra Fast range of products offer increased line speed for food packaging.

"We evaluated our existing line and saw an opportunity to develop two new products to give our customers more choices to better meet their specific performance and application needs," Glasbrenner added.

The Flextra Fast SFA8605 Solvent Free Laminating Adhesive is said to be suitable for snack applications including stand up pouches for dry snacks and offers line speeds up to 1200 fpm.

Flextra Fast SB7200/XAS2283 Solvent-Based Laminating Adhesive is claimed to be suitable for food packaging applications, including triple layer and greater laminations. It offers a high level of heat resistance for use in microware, boil-in-bag, hot fill and pasteurization applications, as well as a high-level of product resistance to withstand aggressive-filled goods.

Both the adhesives adhere well to most substrates, including foil, nylon, metalized films and high-slip sealant films.

HB Fuller is a leading provider of adhesives focusing on perfecting adhesives, sealants and other specialty chemical products to improve products. The company serves customers in packaging, hygiene, general assembly, paper converting, woodworking, construction, automotive and consumer businesses.
