Red Bull, an Austria-based energy drink producer, has chalked out plans to expand its presence to China, with the launch of its energy drink.
Meanwhile, the company will also set up a new office in Shanghai, reported Kronen Zeitung.
Commenting on the expansion plan, Red Bull was quoted by Kronen Zeitung as saying, "The aim is a selective distribution of Red Bull, limited to urban areas and a target group that knows the brand from abroad. We want to develop a feel for the market and the consumers."
In addition, the company has sold around 5.2 billion Red Bull energy drink cans during the previous year and reported €4.9bn in sales.
Founded in 1984, Red Bull manufactures and markets energy drinks. It operates as a subsidiary of TC Pharmaceutical Industries.
