Popcorn brand Portlebay Popcorn has announced that it has secured a full listing in North West supermarket chain Booths.
Available from March onwards, Booths is rolling out three flavours across all their stores: The Original sweet and salty Kracklecorn, Bacon & Maple Syrup Kracklecorn and Chilli & Lime Kracklecorn.
Available in 125g ‘Party Packs’, the three flavours will retail at £2.49.
Booths is the second supermarket listing for the premium popcorn brand, which are already stocked in 140 Tesco stores as well as a national network of premium independent retailers.
Launched in 2012 by Jonty White, Neil Adams and Steve Wardlaw, Portlebay Popcorn is hand popped on site at the team’s ‘Poppery’ in Devon.
Jonty White, owner of Portlebay Popcorn said:
“Booths is the perfect supermarket for our popcorn: their focus on quality products matches our ethos completely.
“We’re one of the only brands in the UK to actually make our own popcorn and our process is very different to other manufacturers.
“We want our popcorn to ‘pop’ both in terms of flavour and crunchiness, so everything is hand popped in small batches rather than in a giant popcorn popper or by hot air popping. For us, and Booths, quality is everything.”
