According to a report released by the Egyptian Ministry of agriculture and Land Reclamation, the total volume of vegetables exported last Thursday amounted to 354 tonnes, while the amount of fruit shipped overseas reached 383 tonnes.
The report pointed out that there has been a remarkable increase in agricultural exports and imports so far since the start of the year, reaching a total of 909,848 tonnes of vegetables and 1,266,707 tonnes of fruit exported up until the end of last week.
The report also stated that, so far this season, the total volume of potatoes, citrus fruits, strawberries and grapes exported stands at 2,129,275 tonnes.
