Core Tip: The supply of apricots is rather high in the Crimean market, despite local growers’ concerns.
The supply of apricots is rather high in the Crimean market, despite local growers’ concerns. In addition, even under conditions of a seasonal decrease in the supply, apricot prices continue to go down and have already fallen below last year’s levels, according to Fruit-Inform.

In particular, sellers from Krymsky Privoz Wholesale Market, Simferopol, are ready to sell their apricots at USD 0.84-1.35/kg, depending on variety, quality and fruit size. Prices were no lower than USD 1.01/kg in the end of the past week.

The Crimean market participants connect negative trend with the supply significantly prevailing over the demand. As a result, current prices are half as high as observed in Crimea in the end of July 2016.
