Last week, organic cauliflowers in Henan already ripened last week and farmers were eager to sell. The large volume of organic cauliflowers flooded the market. Supply greatly exceeded demand and the price dropped.
The price decreased in comparison with last month because the organic cauliflower supply came from Lanzhou last month, and Lanzhou produces high-quality vegetables. The supply volume was small. When local supply entered the market in Henan, the retail price decreased because the cost price of transport and packaging is lower for local cauliflowers. This lowered the overall price of organic cauliflowers.
Year-round traders of organic cauliflower explain that the price of cauliflowers is in a low position. There is abundant supply and the price has been unable to climb out of its valley.
