The acquisition will complement Bonduelle's existing factories in Nagykörös and Békéscsaba. It will enable the company to supply to its markets in Central Europe.
The takeover is expected to take place on 31 May.
According to Bonduelle, the new facility is located in a different production area from its other two Hungarian factories, which will allow for a better distribution of agricultural risks.
Kelet-Food, located in Nyiregyhaza, produces canned sweet corn and peas, which it sells under retailers' own brands at national and local level. It has a capacity of 25,000 to 30,000 tons, and employs about 60 people.
