Core Tip: LesserEvil Healthy Brands, a US-based snack food manufacturer, is set to introduce Chia Pop, a new addition to the company's healthy snack range.
According to the company, the new product packs nutrients without compromising the popcorn flavor.

Chia Pop is made with milled Salba Chia and offers nutrients including protein, fiber, minerals, antioxidants, and omega-3 fatty acid. It is Non-GMO Project verified, gluten free, organic whole grain popcorn, free from artificial ingredients, according to LesserEvil Healthy Brands.

The product will be available in flavors including Theater Style, Salt and Pepper, and Aged White Cheddar, in select stores by the end of this month.

LesserEvil Healthy Brands president and CEO Charles Coristine said the company had worked to transform its low-calorie organic popcorn into a product that not only bursts with flavor, but also provides health benefits.

"Together our team took a classic snack to a whole new level, enhancing popcorn's natural health benefit with omega-rich chia seed," Coristine added.

LesserEvil Healthy Brands, founded in 2004, manufactures snacks without trans fats, preservatives, artificial flavors and colors, high fructose syrup and gluten ingredients. The company's product range includes Krinkle Sticks, Kettlecorn and Chia Pop.
