Smoothie King Franchises, a US-based smoothie and nutritional lifestyle center, is set to expand its franchise opportunities in St Louis, Missouri.
With eight stores in the area, the smoothie chain plans to develop an additional 25 locations in the market over the next five years.
For the expansion, the company is offering 40% off in its initial franchise fee for the first 40 agreements of 2013.
Almost nine new franchisees have already operating their business with this incentive program in 2013 and another 38 existing franchisees plan to open additional units this year.
Smoothie King global CEO Wan Kim said that the company plans to open 27 new stores through July 2013 in the US.
"We are confident that our brand has great potential for further development in St. Louis and look forward to building a stronger presence in the area," Kim added.
Earlier, Smoothie King has announced its plans to add 1,000 new franchised and corporate locations domestically over the next five years.
Currently operating more than 500 locations in the US, the brand still has franchise opportunities available in the Southeast, Mid-Atlantic and Northeast regions, as well as Texas.
Smoothie King offers nutritional fresh-blended smoothie and healthy retail products, including sports beverages, vitamin supplements and other sports nutrition products.
