Family owned Australian company Bulla Dairy Foods has completed the acquisition of Rowena Foods, the maker of Choc Top ice cream.
Rowena Foods is an Australian owned and operated businesses and it owns a manufacturing plant in Dandenong South, Melbourne, Victoria.
Bulla Dairy Foods Commercial general manager David Sloan said the acquisition of Rowena Foods is a logical expansion for the company and of benefit to both parties.
"At Bulla, we take pride in crafting Australian made dairy products that give enjoyment to families everywhere, which parallels Rowena's reputation for manufacturing the iconic Australian made Choc Top."
"This acquisition enables Bulla to access the cinema channel for the first time, while using our extensive experience in the ice cream category to ignite growth," Sloan added.
With the acquisition, Bulla Dairy Foods noted that it will integrate its core values to operate the Dandenong South plant as business per usual.
