Coconut water might just be the biggest drink trend since juicing. Many companies sell their own version of the beverage and now you can find them all in your local supermarket (forget having to actually buy a coconut and figure out how to get it open.) Flavored coconut waters are nothing new, but now one company, Taste Nirvana, known for its line of coconut waters called "The Real Coconut Water" has come out with something different. While flavored coconut waters typically stick to fruits and other sweet concepts, this latest variety features savory Thai Chili Extract.
The Delish team had a chance to try the new beverage and we were pleasantly surprised. While we had originally expected something extremely spicy, the drink was actually quite mild, mostly tasting of coconut, with a slight warmth at the end of each sip — the subtle chili extract kicking in. If you're a diehard fan of the original coconut water than perhaps this isn't for you, but it certainly spices things up a bit, literally.
