Following the sale of it’s fish feed department, Ewos, Cermaq announced it will transform into one company dedicated to salmon farming.
The recently announced change to Mainstream’s identity to Cermaq, is part of the transformation. Another part is the establishment of a corporate management team that will integrate the operational units and corporate staff functions closer together.
The organizational change will be done by brining the managing directors of the country organizations in Chile, Norway and Canada into the management team, as well as to establish functional teams across the organization with representation from all regions and staff functions.
Effective Wednesday 20 November, Cermaq’s management team will consist of:
• Jon Hindar, CEO
• Synne Homble, Chief Officer Legal and Corporate Functions
• Tore Valderhaug, CFO
• Geir Molvik, COO Norway
• Francisco Miranda Morales, COO Chile
• Fernando Villarroel, COO Canada
Also reporting directly to the CEO is Geir Sjaastad, project director, who will continue as responsible for IT. In capacity of COO Norway Geir Molvik will be new managing director of Cermaq Norway effective from 2 December. Snorre Jonassen, current managing director, will take a new position as regional manager for Nordland.
