Norwegian salmon farmer Salmar announced today that it would be selling its 7.3 million shares in Faroese salmon producer Bakkafrost, according to a statement form Salmar.
Salmar announced its intentions on 11 December, with plans to sell off its shares through an accelerated bookbuilding process.
The sale follows a similar auction of 7.3 million shares back in May 2013. The newest move represents the last of Salmar's stake in Bakkafrost, and up to 14.9 percent of Bakkafrost's outstanding shares.
Bakkafrost, according to Salmar, has agreed to buy 550,000 of the shares.
