Vineyard property magnate Jacky Lorenzetti has purchased Chateau Béheré in Pauillac, France from Jean-Gabriel and Anne-Marie Camou for an undisclosed amount.
Established in 1993, the property is located next to Chateau Mouton Rothschild and is surrounded by many classified properties.
Chateau Béheré has over 4.7ha of vines and makes around 33,000 bottles per year, reported Decanter.com.
The purchase includes only vines and not the house. As the wine cellar is attached to the house, Lorenzetti will have to build a new wine cellar or produce wines within the estate.
According to vineyard expert Alexander Hall, the purchase price per hectare could be around €1.4m.
The new property joins Lorenzetti's other properties, including Chateau Lilian Ladouys in Saint Estephe, Chateau Pédesclaux in Pauillac, and the recently purchased 50% stake of Chateau d'Issan in AOC Margaux.
