Prices of fresh salmon exports from Norway increased for the second week in a row for the period of 31 December to 6 January.
Export prices of fresh salmon came to NOK 33.57 per kilo (USD 6.08, EUR 4.56), up 1.4 percent from the precious week’s price of 33.11 per kilo (USD 6, EUR 4.5). The export quantity of fresh salmon was 10,364 metric tons (MT) for the week, up 40.9 percent from the previous seven-day period.
Export of frozen salmon were also up to 204 MT compared to the previous week, but prices were down to NOK 27.16 per kilo (USD 4.9, EUR 3.7) compared to NOK 29.81 per kilo.
